Boy and Girl Salt and Pepper Shakers in Basket

$85.00 plus $10.00 Flat Rate, Insured U.S. Shipping

This fun S & P set consists of three pieces, the handled basket and the two kids. The children are in seated positions with their legs raised. He has two shaker holes in the top of his head and she has three. They are both marked Japan on the bottom and both have a vintage cork. The paint is underglaze except for the red on her shoes, the bow in her hair and their lips. The basket is made to look like it’s woven except for the handle. A red bow adorns the front. Again, all of the paint is underglaze except for the red. A worn and starched but original foiled paper label is on the bottom. I believe the set is from the 1940’s-1950’s period.

The basket measures about 4 11/16” across by about 2 ¾” deep by 3 ¾” to the top of the handle. The kids measure about 3” high. All three pieces are in very good condition with no damage and minimal wear to the red paint with the worst being to the bow. And their lips. I have shown two close-ups, one that shows white tipped fingers which is not chipped but a manufacturing flaw and red tipped fingers from sloppy painting.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
